Get More Out of Your Marketing (Without Doing More Work)

A large part of the success of growing your business is in having consistency in terms of sales and marketing activity. It’s a numbers game. Be seen, be active, be regular.

But here’s the problem: most business owners and leaders don’t have time to create something new every week. And even if you did — you’d probably rather not.

Even I struggle with this, and ‘marketing and sales’ is my everyday business! If you are a business leader who doesn’t love marketing, the challenge seems bigger.

That’s why so often businesses have this ad hoc, stop-start approach to marketing and sales. Only doing marketing and sales activity when the sales pipeline is looking dry, then thinking:

“Urgh, we really need to be more visible”

Or worse:

“Panic!! We have no sales.”

The good news? You don’t have to panic, or be a slave to creating new content all of the time.

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking…

  • “What on earth am I going to post this week?”

  • “I wrote a great blog, but now what?”

  • “I really should be creating a video… but then what happens after that?”

… this is for you.

Marketing Tip

In this short video, I share one of my favourite marketing tips. It’s a simple, repeatable way to get more visibility from your content, without reinventing the wheel every time. It is ridiculously obvious once you hear it, but most people just don’t do it.

Some of my clients tell me this is their favourite thing they have learned.

And I love it when this lightbulb goes on. So hopefully, you get an ‘A-Ha’ moment too.

The idea in a nutshell

Content repurposing.

Start with one strong piece of content — a video, a blog, a webinar, whatever format you’re most comfortable with.

This could be a question you always get asked, a piece of advice you know gives value to your clients, a case study, or a suggestion of how people can add value to their business.

Then:

  • Repurpose it into a blog post or article (if it’s not already one)

  • Pull out key points to create multiple LinkedIn posts

  • Turn it into an ebook or some other long-form content

  • Use snippets in your emails and newsletters

  • Create and schedule several posts ahead so you’re not scrambling each week (set & forget)

You’ve now got one message, in multiple formats, doing the heavy lifting across several channels — without having to start from scratch each time.

Why it works:

  • You reach more people by showing up in different places

  • You reinforce your message through repetition

  • You free up headspace by removing the “what should I say?” stress

  • You get better ROI from the effort you already put in

If you're time-poor (and who isn't?), this approach helps you stay visible, consistent and credible without needing to spend every spare moment "doing marketing."
